Childbirth/Antenatal Educator CNH 175 & 176The Childbirth Educator supports pregnant women and families by providing prenatal health education, birth preparation, and important information to assist families in making decisions regarding their birth and new baby. The Teacher/Facilitator Development portion actually gives time to learn more teaching concepts and to practice skills in a community setting. This seminar includes training for "Pregnant Life Circles", which incorporates the Childbirth Education topics with basic prenatal care in a group setting. This helps to create more community support and empowers women to follow through with healthier reproductive outcomes. These skills can be adapted for most locations where missionaries would serve pregnant women. This course also can equip workers who are already serving in other capacities to reach out to those in need, through a simple health education format, either in a classroom setting or one-on-one counseling.
