The University of the Nations LifeReach Campus has designed a three year midwifery program. It is a residential program for a portion of each of the three years. During the remainder of the year students are expected to work with approved preceptor midwives or other care providers, either in their home area or in other desired locations.
The location for the residential coursework is El Paso, Texas, USA.
Students have a series of courses and are expected to dive deeper in their knowledge, skills and understanding with each term.
This is the usual order of courses:
Midwife Assistant Course (aka Birth Attendant School)
Midwifery Vital Skills Course (aka Advanced Birth Attendant School)
Midwifery Certification Course
