Asistance for Aspiring Midwives

We want to equip you for a comprehensive range of services!

Study to show yourself approved...to handle the Difficult
and the Simplicity of Birth!

Picture

We have created a school to professionally train aspiring midwives, especially missionaries and Christians who are missions-focused, to become midwives. Students prepare for their Texas Licensed Midwife (LM) credential and then it is only a short step into the national credential of the Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).

The CPM has great appeal as a nationally and an internationally known credential, which can open many more avenues of service for our students.

The midwifery school is approved as a three year program. It admits students for two years of study in EL Paso, Texas, USA, and then one year of advanced studies and a midwifery residency. You can expect several months of coursework during a portion of each of the three years, and then students are expected to work with approved care providers between coursework offerings to gain documentation of skills and experiences. This between-course time can be taken in locations outside of El Paso, Texas, and is meant to allow students to go home or to other desired locations for their experiences. Students are expected to participate in locating potential preceptors but the school is committed to assist, as may be needed, to qualify and accept preceptors for each student and provide supportive services throughout the school year. Supportive student services may include but are not limited to, professional guidance, documentation for credentialing requirements, and communications with oversight preceptorship.

Nations Compassion

Lower Fees for Developing Nations
“God has renewed in us a call to be both international and multicultural,” said Associate Provost David Hamilton.  “The rising cost of our schools over the years has made them less accessible to international students.  To change that, we have overhauled our budgets to be able to significantly reduce tuition cost for those from developing nations.”

International students already pay a higher price to get here because of travel costs.  They also pay more than Americans in both time and money to comply with all the legal and visa requirements.

Please see this under the Nation Compassion tab

There will be three slots available for those who meet qualifications for the May 2019 program!
